Daebudo Island (대부도)
Daebudong-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do
About
Daebudo Island, connected to the mainland by the Sihwa Seawall, is named ‘daebu’ due to its resemblance to a "great hill." A notable feature is the cluster of six islands known as Yukdo, which includes Tando (known for its black stones), Buldo (legend says a Buddha was born here), Seongamdo (believed to be a playground for Taoist immortals), among three others. The coastline is dotted with restaurants offering noodle soup and grilled clams, making it a perfect destination for a day trip. Additional attractions worth exploring are the Daebudo Metasequoia Trail, Daebudo Park, and the Bangameori dock.
Visitors also explore Glass Island Museum (유리섬박물관), Barva Coffee Tower 360 (바르바커피 타워 360) and Mokseom Island (목섬) near this location.
