Gangneung Coffee Festival (강릉커피축제)

Gangneung is as renowned for its delicious coffee as it is for its scenic coastline. Strolling along the cafe-lined beaches of Gangneung, visitors can experience a coffee aroma that rivals the sea breeze. Famous coffee manufacturers attend the Gangneung Coffee Festival and hold a tasting event. At the opening ceremony, 100 baristas hold a “100 People 100 Tastes” performance where they simultaneously brew hand-drip coffee. Visitors are welcome to taste 100 kinds of coffee at this special event. During the festival, competitions are held to select the No. 1 barista for each category, including latte art, hand drip, and roasting.
